There was no surprise in Ramat Hasharon where 13th ranked Maccabi Raanana (5-12) was defeated by eleventh ranked Hasharon (8-12) 87-79 on Wednesday. Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard JeQuan Lewis (186-94, college: VCU) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Amit Bier-Katz (208-88) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Hasharon players scored in double figures. American-Jamaican Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Rom Cornelius (197-93) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Hasharon maintains eleventh position with 8-12 record. Maccabi Raanana lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 12 games lost.
