Regular Season Round 28: H.Galil Gilboa - M.Rishon 75-85

The most important game in the last round took place in Rosh Pina between third ranked Galil Gilboa (12-7) and eighth ranked M.Rishon (10-10) on Thursday night. Galil Gilboa was defeated by M.Rishon at home 75-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Galil Gilboa. M.Rishon dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Galil Gilboa's 30. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Egor Koulechov (196-94, college: Florida, agency: Avi Zilberman) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: GMU) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four M.Rishon players scored in double figures. American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-97, college: Florida, agency: Shark Sports Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and his fellow American import guard Joe Thomasson (193-93, college: Wright St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 8 assists in the effort for Galil Gilboa. Galil Gilboa's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. M.Rishon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 10-10 record. Galil Gilboa at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. M.Rishon are looking forward to face higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Galil Gilboa will play again against M.Rishon and is hoping to win this game.
