Regular Season Round 24: Moron - Zornotza 75-86

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Zornotza (16-7) defeated 13th ranked Moron (7-16) in Morón de la Frontera 86-75 on Saturday. Zornotza dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Moron's 34. It was a good game for Dominican power forward Jeromy Rodriguez (201-96, college: ETSU) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Bryson Robinson (193-98, college: New Orleans) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Zornotza's coach Mikel Garitaonandia used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Diego Gallardo (192-96, agency: Interperformances) replied with 14 points and British forward Joe Mvuezolo (197-96, college: Montana St.) added 18 points in the effort for Moron. Zornotza maintains third position in Silver with 16-7 record having just three points less than leader FC Barcelona 2. Loser Moron keeps the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Zornotza will face league's leader Juaristi ISB in Azpeitia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
