We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Mesolongi where 11th ranked Larissa BC (5-15) was edged by twelfth ranked Charilaos (5-15) 79-77 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Charilaos made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Toddrick Gotcher (192-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona) who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. American power forward Wesley Gordon (206-94, college: Colorado) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and international point guard Konstantinos Papadakis (191-98, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Charilaos moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Larissa BC. Larissa BC lost third consecutive game. Charilaos will face higher ranked Promitheas (#4) in Patras in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
