Regular Season Round 20: Kolossos HH - Aris 83-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Aris' (6-14) road loss to ninth ranked Kolossos HH (7-12) 72-83 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kolossos HH. Aris was better in second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kolossos HH looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Aris' players. Aris was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Thodoris Zaras (197-87) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American guard Dominic Artis (192-93, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 17 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Kolossos HH players scored in double figures. Bosnian forward Milan Milosevic (204-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Mario Chalmers (188-86, college: Kansas) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kolossos HH moved-up to eighth place. Aris lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Kolossos HH will face higher ranked Promitheas (#4) in Patras in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aris will play at home against Ionikos (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
