Regular Season Round 25: Faenza - La Spezia 84-72

Serie A2 top team - Faenza (18-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked La Spezia (11-8) 84-72. They outrebounded La Spezia 39-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. Point guard Federica Franceschelli (176-97) nailed 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and forward Lucia Morsiani (186-92) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds. Five Faenza players scored in double figures. Faenza's coach Paolo Rossi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian guard Lana Packovski (172-94) came up with 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Isabel Hernandez (180-97, college: Maine) added 21 points respectively for La Spezia in the defeat. Faenza maintains first place in A2 with 18-2 record. Loser La Spezia keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Faenza will meet San Salvatore (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. La Spezia will play against Bolzano AV and hope to secure a win.
