Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was a good game for Swedish guard Peter Stumer (198-99, college: Maine, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 4 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward LaRon Smith (204-93, college: Auburn) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Smith is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Navarra players scored in double figures. Point guard David Fernandez (179-91) replied with 19 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Serbian center Dejan Bjelic (209-90) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tarragona. Tarragona's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Navarra moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Newly promoted Tarragona keeps the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Navarra will face Jairis (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Tarragona will play against La Roda and hope to win that game.
