The game between Top Four teams took place in Aalst. Second ranked host Okapi Aalst (9-7) smashed 4th placed Leuven Bears (6-11) 93-70. Okapi Aalst forced 22 Leuven Bears turnovers. It was a great evening for Montenegrin point guard Vladimir Mihailovic (193-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 steals. American forward Cameron McGriff (201-97, college: OK State) helped adding 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Okapi Aalst players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalst's coach Yves Defraigne felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Jonas Delalieux (202-92) responded with 23 points and Croatian Luka Kotrulja (196-98) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Okapi Aalst maintains second place with 9-7 record having just two points less than leader Belfius Mons. Leuven Bears at the other side keep the fourth position with 11 games lost. Okapi Aalst are looking forward to face Limburg United (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Leuven Bears will play against Spirou Charleroi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
