Quarter-Finals Round 1: Randers - Vaerlose 105-88

Date: April 5, 2021
Randers outscored Vaerlose to ensure the lead in the series. Strangely Vaerlose outrebounded Randers 47-33 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Randers made 10 blocks. American forward Brantley Bynum (196-94, college: SF State) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and guard Jacob Hoffman (191-96, college: Bemidji St.) chipped in 24 points. At the losing side international guard Martin Poulsen (195-98, college: Mt.St.Mary's) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and South Sudanese center Koch Bar (208-96, college: Bradley) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
