Regular Season Round 19: Levallois - Chalon 88-80

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Chalon/Saor (7-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Levallois (11-7) 88-80 on Wednesday. Levallois dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Chalon/Saor's 28. They outrebounded Chalon/Saor 35-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. Israeli Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) fired 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Anthony Brown (199-92, college: Stanford) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Levallois players scored in double figures. British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) produced 21 points and American-Israeli Rafi Menco (200-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Levallois moved-up to fourth place. Loser Chalon/Saor keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Levallois will face Entente Orleans 45 (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chalon/Saor will play against the league's second-placed Monaco and hope to win that game.
