Regular Season Round 19: Gravelines - Bourg 90-98

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked JL Bourg (11-6) defeated on the road 9th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (8-10) 98-90 on Wednesday. JL Bourg forced 19 Gravelines-Dunkerque turnovers and had a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Gravelines-Dunkerque was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian guard Danilo Andjusic (194-91) fired 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winners (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!). Slovenian center Alen Omic (216-92, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. JL Bourg's coach Savo Vucevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Erik McCree (203-93, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: MSU) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four JL Bourg and five Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. JL Bourg moved-up to third place. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. JL Bourg will face bottom-ranked Boulazac Basket (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#6) and hope to win that game.
