Regular Season Round 25: Pardinyes-L. - Albacete 85-79

An interesting game took place in Lleida where 4th placed Albacete (15-9) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Pardinyes-L. (12-13) 85-79 on Wednesday. Pardinyes-L. made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. American forward Elijah Schmidt (203, college: TAMUCC) stepped up and scored 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Carles Gasque (198-93) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side guard Jorge Mejias-Sanchez (188-1, college: TAMIU, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Victor Aguilar (185-98) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pardinyes-L. maintains ninth place in Silver with 12-13 record. Loser Albacete keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Pardinyes-L. will face L'Hospitalet (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Albacete will play against La Roda (#7) and hope to win that game.
