We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Ragusa (7-10) beat at home 9th ranked Olginate (6-10) 81-74 on Thursday. Ragusa forced 20 Olginate turnovers. Strangely Olginate outrebounded Ragusa 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Guard Andrea Sorrentino (190-90) fired 20 points for the winners. Forward Mattia Mastroianni (203-94) chipped in 20 points. Ragusa's coach Antonio Bocchino used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Giacomo Bloise (180-90) produced 29 points and point guard Filippo Giannini (184-91) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ragusa moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Giulianova and Formia. Loser Olginate dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Ragusa will face higher ranked Pavia (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Olginate will play against the league's leader Agrigento (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
