Regular Season Round 24: M.Haifa - Ramat Gan 62-91

The most shocking disappointment of round 24 was a home defeat of 5th ranked M.Haifa (10-12) by sixth ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (11-11) who outscored them by 29 points 91-62 in the game for the fourth place. Maccabi Ramat Gan dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to M.Haifa's 30. They outrebounded M.Haifa 41-26 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Khaalia Hillsman (197-96, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and international Lev Tal (179-97) who added 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Maccabi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-95, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) with 26 points and 4 assists and her fellow American import forward Teana Muldrow (188-95, college: WVU) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. M.Haifa at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon and Bnot Hertzeliya. Maccabi Ramat Gan are looking forward to face league's leader Ramla at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. M.Haifa will play against the league's second-placed Ashdod (#2) in Ashdod and is hoping to win this game.
