The game with biggest result difference took place in Tbilisi. Local Mgzavrebi (4-15) was outscored by sixth ranked Olimpi (9-9) 85-42 on Friday night. The game without a history. Olimpi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mgzavrebi to just 4 points in first quarter. Olimpi dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mgzavrebi's 26. Olimpi forced 22 Mgzavrebi turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including 37 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Mgzavrebi's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Kendrick Thompson (190-96, college: Northeastern St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals and the former international swingman Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) who added 10 points during the contest. Olimpi's coach Davit Rogava felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Ioseb Gognadze (205-96) with 6 points and 10 rebounds and forward David Baramidze (198-96) scored 11 points. Olimpi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vera. Mgzavrebi lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Olimpi will meet at home Batumi (#9) in the next round. Mgzavrebi will play against Vera and hope to secure a win.
