Regular Season Round 24: Martinenc - Roser 66-69

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Barcelona where one of their biggest challengers Martinenc (6-5) was edged by fourth ranked Roser (5-4) 69-66 on Saturday. Roser made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Jonel Palou (195-88) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Adria Cortegano (185-0) chipped in 19 points. Roser's coach Juan Hereza used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was center Marc Sune (200-96) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Boubacar Gassama (201-99) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Five Martinenc players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Roser maintains fourth position in Group C3 with 5-4 record. Loser Martinenc keeps the third place with five games lost. Roser will face league's leader Llucmajor at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Martinenc's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Barcelona to the arena Barbera.
