Regular Season Round 24: Pinta Castell - Martorell 82-73

Top ranked Martorell (8-3) recorded its third loss in Es Castell on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Pinta Castell (3-3) 82-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Martorell. They outrebounded Martorell 46-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward Zac Overwater (202-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and center Jan Orfila (207-86) who added 17 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Pinta Castell players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Albert Valle (181-92) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Silvestre Esteves-Garcia (195-97) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Pinta Castell maintains fifth position in Group C2 with 3-3 record. Martorell at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Pinta Castell will meet Olivar (#5) in the next round. Martorell will have a break next round.
