Very predictable result when fifth ranked Crema (12-6) rolled over at home 13th ranked Piadena (5-12) 93-55 on Sunday. They outrebounded Piadena 45-33 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Crema looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Piadena's players. Guard Niccolo Venturoli (197-0) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Giacomo Leardini (198-99, agency: SLN) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Crema players scored in double figures. Crema's coach Riccardo Eliantonio felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Riccardo Chinellato (198-0, agency: Players Group) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Matteo Motta (193-92, agency: SLN) added 14 points in the effort for Piadena. The victory was the third consecutive win for Crema. They maintain fifth place with 12-6 record. Loser Piadena keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Crema will face Varese (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Piadena will play against Ragusa and hope to win that game.
