Gmunded advanced into the semifinals as they snatched a road win over UBSC Graz. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. UBSC Graz was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gmunden Swans dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to UBSC Graz's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Toni Blazan (197-92, agency: Mansfield and Associates) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American guard Stanley Whittaker (183-94, college: Keiser) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Jacob Ledoux (190-97, college: UTPB) added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals in the effort for UBSC Graz. Four Gmunden Swans and five UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
