Very expected game when 12th ranked Sangiorgese (5-11) lost to second ranked Piacenza (16-2) in San Giorgio 80-84 on Sunday. Piacenza outrebounded Sangiorgese 44-29 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Sangiorgese was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Marco Planezio (198-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Argentinian guard Sebastian Vico (190-86) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners.
