Regular Season Round 20: Strasbourg - Nanterre 86-81
Date: April 13, 2021
Very expected game when 16th ranked JSF Nanterre (5-11) lost on the road to fifth ranked SIG Strasbourg (11-5) 86-81. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. SIG Strasbourg made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. JSF Nanterre was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Bonzie Colson Jr (198-96, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds and American-Ugandan swingman Ishmail Wainright (196-94, college: Baylor) who added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. International Isaia Cordinier (196-96) responded with 20 points and American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SEMO) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five SIG Strasbourg and four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. SIG Strasbourg maintains fifth position with 11-5 record. JSF Nanterre lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth place with 11 games lost. SIG Strasbourg will play against Cholet Basket (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JSF Nanterre will play against Chalon/Saor and hopes to get back on the winning track.
