They outrebounded Giannena 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Nukiya Mayo (190-98, college: Towson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import Stephanie Madden (186-88, college: Langston) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four PAOK players scored in double figures. PAOK's coach Vasileios Maslarinos used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Stavriani Vintsilaiou (181-98) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Australian point guard Vanessa Panousis (170-95, college: Virginia Tech) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Giannena. PAOK have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Giannena dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. PAOK will play against Dafni Agioy (#10) in Athens in the next round where they are favorite. Giannena will play at home against the league's second-placed Olympiacos (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
