There was no surprise when 10th ranked Dafni Agioy (1-7) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Zografou (5-4) 44-40 on Wednesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zografou made 8 blocks. Lucy Zourni (184-84) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and guard Julie Stefanidou (172-90) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Lilia Karakasidou (165-1) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-95, college: CBU) scored 5 points and 11 rebounds. Newly promoted Zografou maintains sixth position with 5-4 record. Dafni Agioy lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with seven games lost.
