Very predictable result when second ranked Monaco (14-2) won against on the road 12th ranked Chalon/Saor (7-11) 86-78. Monaco forced 19 Chalon/Saor turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American JJ OBrien (200-92, college: SDSU) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Marcos Knight (188-89, college: MTSU, agency: BeoBasket) who added 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-90, college: BGSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 assists and Latvian center Martins Meiers (208-91) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monaco have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 14-2 record behind leader Dijon. Chalon/Saor at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Le Portel. Monaco will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chalon/Saor will play on the road against JSF Nanterre (#17) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
