There was an upset when higher ranked Melilla (7-5) was defeated at home by seventeenth ranked Real Murcia (7-6) 67-61 on Saturday. Serbian power forward Strahinja Gavrilovic (206-93, college: USC) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Duran International) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Alec Wintering (183-95, college: Portland) with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Bosnian Nedim Djedovic (205-97, agency: BeoBasket) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Melilla's coach Alejandro Alcoba rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Real Murcia moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Huesca. Loser Melilla dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Real Murcia will face higher ranked Caceres Basket (#11) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
