No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Cassino (10-9) won against at home 14th ranked R.Calabria (5-14) 81-76 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Cassino made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. R.Calabria was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Daniele Grilli (190-87) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists during the contest. Newly promoted R.Calabria keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Cassino will face Molfetta (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. R.Calabria will play against Pozzuoli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
