Everything went according to plan in Jerez de la Frontera where fourth ranked San Fernando (12-4) outscored bottom-ranked Xerez (0-16) 69-40 on Saturday. They outrebounded Xerez 44-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Power forward Carlos Galan (201-2) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Cesar Heras (195-96) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Elian Malinarich (190-0) responded with 9 points and guard Enrique Romero (181-99) scored 2 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Fernando have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain fourth place in Group D-B with 12-4 record. Newly promoted Xerez still closes the standings with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
