Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Senigallia (8-9) outscored at home 15th ranked Civitanova (5-13) 103-84 on Saturday. Senigallia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Civitanova's players. Guard Giacomo Gurini (192-84) scored 24 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Michele Peroni (190-94) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Riccardo Casagrande (196-88) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and forward Marco Vallasciani (195-94) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senigallia moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Imola. Civitanova lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Senigallia will face Jesi (#8) on the road in the next round. Civitanova will play against Vicenza (#3) and hope to win that game.
