Regular Season Round 21: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Levallois 93-98

Very expected game when 16th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (6-14) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Levallois (13-7) 98-93 on Saturday. Levallois shot 61.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Levallois looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American swingman Anthony Brown (199-92, college: Stanford) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and international point guard David Michineau (191-94) chipped in 20 points. Levallois' coach Jure Zdovc allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Petr Cornelie (211-95) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Justin Bibbins (178-96, college: Utah) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Five Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. Levallois have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Loser Pau-Lacq-Orthez dropped to the seventeenth position with 14 games lost. Levallois will face league's second-placed Monaco at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#7) and hope to win that game.
