There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Olginate (7-11) beat at home 8th ranked Bologna Basket (8-11) 99-94 on Sunday. Olginate made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game. Bologna Basket was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Giacomo Bloise (180-90) scored 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Filippo Giannini (184-91) chipped in 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Andrea Maggiotto (190-88, agency: SLN) with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Luca Fontecchio (203-91, agency: Players Group) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olginate moved-up to tenth place. Bologna Basket lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Olginate will face Torrenova (#15) in Torrenovese in the next round where they are favorite.
