Regular Season Round 25: Rustavi - Tskhum-Abkhazeti 85-91

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Rustavi (17-3) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Tskhum-Abkhazeti (12-8) 91-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rustavi. Rustavi trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 30-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-91 at the end of the game. International forward Aleksandre Phevadze (206-98) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Nigerian-Italian power forward David Okeke (202-98, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Revazi Chachanidze (183-90) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Rustavi. Five Tskhum-Abkhazeti and four Rustavi players scored in double figures. Tskhum-Abkhazeti have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-8 record having five points less than leader Rustavi. Rustavi at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost.
