Regular Season Round 22: Le Mans - Chalon 98-78

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Chalon/Saor (7-13) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Le Mans (12-6) 98-78. Le Mans outrebounded Chalon/Saor 37-17 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Le Mans players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Swingman Valentin Bigote (195-92) notched 26 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Cameroonian forward Williams Narace (201-97) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Le Mans players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 6 assists by American Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona, agency: Network Sports International) did not help to save the game for Chalon/Saor. His fellow American import point guard Jordon Crawford (168-90, college: BGSU) added 14 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Le Mans have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 12-6 record. Chalon/Saor lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. Le Mans' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Monaco on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
