Bottom-ranked Haukar managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the four-game losing streak. This time they won against eighth-ranked IR in Hafnarfjordur 104-94. IR was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Haukar players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for Spanish-Colombian point guard Hansel Atencia (178-97, college: Master's) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 8 assists. American swingman Jalen Jackson (198-94, college: UALR, agency: Players Group) contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) replied with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals and the former international forward Danero Thomas (200-86, college: Murray St., agency: Promotex) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for IR. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Haukar (4-13) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Hottur. IR lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
