Regular Season Round 33: H.Holon - M.Rishon 99-94

There was no surprise when 8th ranked M.Rishon (11-12) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Hapoel Holon (16-7) 99-94 on Thursday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Hapoel Holon made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St., agency: Alti Sport) stepped up and scored 31 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import CJ Harris (191-91, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 22 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: GMU) with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and international Golan Gutt (195-94) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with H.Galil Gilboa. Loser M.Rishon keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with I.Nes-Ziona. Hapoel Holon will meet Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. M.Rishon will play against Maccabi Haifa and hope to secure a win.
