Regular Season Round 9: Primorje - Buducnost 47-85

An exciting game was played in Herceg Novi. Leader Buducnost faced 3rd placed Primorje. Guests from Podgorica (6-0) smashed host Primorje (1-4) 85-47. Buducnost dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Primorje's 20. They outrebounded Primorje 38-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Buducnost players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for international swingman Milena Jaksic (178-98) who led her team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Maja Bigovic (195-2) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Jovana Kojcinovic (180-4) answered with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ivana Jecmenic (179-4) added 14 points in the effort for Primorje. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Buducnost have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Primorje at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Buducnost will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Primorje will play on the road against Niksic 1995 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
