Regular Season Round 23: Orleans - Nanterre 89-98

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Entente Orleans 45 (9-11) lost at home to thirteenth ranked JSF Nanterre (7-13) 98-89 on Friday. JSF Nanterre made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. American Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). His fellow American import guard Marcquise Reed (190-95, college: Clemson, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 20 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Nigerian forward Chima Moneke (198-95, college: UC Davis) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Armenian-American center Luke Fischer (211-94, college: Marquette) added 20 points and 4 blocks in the effort for Entente Orleans 45. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory JSF Nanterre went down to fifteenth position due to points difference, which they share with Chalons-Reims. Loser Entente Orleans 45 dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. JSF Nanterre will face higher ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (#13) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
