Regular Season Round 23: Strasbourg - Monaco 70-82

An interesting game for Monaco (16-2) which played road game in Strasbourg against 3rd placed SIG Strasbourg (15-6). Second ranked Monaco managed to get a 12-point victory 82-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SIG Strasbourg. It was a great evening for Senegalese Ibrahima Fall-Faye (207-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. International center Mathias Lessort (205-95, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 12 points and 4 assists. American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: MSU Denver) responded with 17 points and the other American import Bonzie Colson Jr (198-96, college: Notre Dame) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-2 record behind leader Dijon. SIG Strasbourg at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Monaco will play against Limoges CSP Elite (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SIG Strasbourg will play against Boulazac Basket (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
