Regular Season Round 30: Milano - Moncalieri 63-68

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Milano (13-10) was defeated at home by third ranked Moncalieri (19-4) 68-63 on Saturday. Moncalieri outrebounded Milano 41-28 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Moncalieri especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was DR Congolese center Lydie Katshitshi (185-98) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Croatian center Katarina Trehub (192-97) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Moncalieri's coach Paolo Terzolo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Susanna Toffali (178-98) who recorded 24 points and 4 assists and Croatian forward Karmen Cicic (185-94) added 16 points respectively. Moncalieri maintains third position in A2 with 19-4 record behind leader Faenza. Loser Milano keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Moncalieri will face Bolzano AV (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Milano will play against Scrivia (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
