Leader Maccabi T-A delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Maccabi Haifa (5-18) 82-78. It was a good game for American-Italian forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-89, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. The former international swingman Yovel Zoosman (200-98) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Maccabi T-A's coach Giannis Sfairopoulos allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American swingman Chris Dowe (189-91, college: Bellarmine, agency: GoEmpire Group) answered with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and international Roman Sorkin (209-96, college: Oregon) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Haifa. Five Maccabi Haifa players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-4 record. Maccabi Haifa at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Maccabi T-A will play against H.Beer Sheva (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Maccabi Haifa will play against M.Rishon (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
