Regular Season Round 20: KR - Haukar 69-72
Date: April 25, 2021
There was a surprise result in Reykjavik where eleventh ranked Haukar (5-13) edged higher ranked KR (10-8) 72-69 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jalen Jackson (198-94, college: UALR, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds and Spanish-Colombian point guard Hansel Atencia (178-97, college: Master's) who added 17 points during the contest. American Brandon Nazione (202-94, college: EMU) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import guard Ty Sabin (190-94, college: Ripon, agency: Duran International) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Haukar maintains eleventh position with 5-13 record, which they share with Hottur. KR lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Haukar will face higher ranked Tindastoll (#6) in Sauoarkrokur in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KR will play on the road against the league's leader Keflavik and will have a slim chance for a victory.
