There was an upset in La Carolina where higher ranked Castello 2 (6-13) was crushed by tenth ranked Carolinas (3-17) 72-43 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Alejandro Blazquez (-1) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Nacho Gaya (185-90) chipped in 6 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Point guard Andres Roig (188-99) produced 6 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Pablo Arnau (188) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Carolinas moved-up to ninth place in Group E-Descen. Loser Castello 2 keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Carolinas will face higher ranked L'Alcora (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
