There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Pozzuoli (7-14) won against at home 11th ranked Molfetta (8-13) 76-68 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Pozzuoli especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Molfetta's players. Point guard Nicola Savoldelli (184-97, agency: SLN) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 assists. Bosnian point guard Amar Balic (180-96) contributed with 12 points and 6 assists for the winners. Pozzuoli's coach Mariano Gentile used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Vittorio Visentin (205-95, agency: SLN) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Matteo Bini (201-94) added 10 points in the effort for Molfetta. Pozzuoli moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Molfetta lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost.
