There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Teramo (7-14) defeated on the road higher ranked V. Padova (10-9) 104-92 on Sunday. Teramo made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Teramo looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. V. Padova was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Giorgio Di Bonaventura (192-97) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 assists. Point guard Gianmarco Rossi (181-90) contributed with 33 points (!!!) for the winners. Center Ivan Morgillo (206-92, agency: Players Group) replied with 26 points and the former international point guard Francesco De Nicolao (185-93) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists in the effort for V. Padova. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. V. Padova's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Teramo moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. V. Padova lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Teramo will face higher ranked Senigallia (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
