Second Stage Round 2: Pistoia - Trapani 71-82

No shocking result in a game when Trapani defeated on the road Pistoia 82-71 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was American forward Shonn Miller (201-93, college: UConn) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 21 rebounds. The other American import LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists. Power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and British forward Carl Wheatle (199-98, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trapani will face Ravenna at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pistoia will play against Mantova in Mirandola and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A just one year after relegation.
