Rheinland dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Homburger TG's 30. Rheinland forced 29 Homburger TG turnovers and outrebounded them 39-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Homburger TG's players. Dutch center Rowie Jongeling (188-93) notched 25 points to lead the effort and American guard Rachel Theriot (183-94, college: Nebraska, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) supported her with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Rheinland's coach Mario Zurkowski felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by American power forward Ashley Gray (185-96, college: Portland) did not help to save the game for Homburger TG. Guard Emma Rhein (173-0) added 7 points for the guests.
