There was an upset in Reggio Calabria where higher ranked Roma Luiss (9-11) were defeated by fourteenth ranked R.Calabria (7-15) 91-75 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for R.Calabria especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists for the winners and naturalized Senegalese power forward Yande Fall (199-90, agency: SLN) chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Francesco Infante (204-92) with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Marco Pasqualin (178-97) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five R.Calabria and four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. R.Calabria moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Pozzuoli. Loser Roma Luiss keep the ninth position with 11 games lost.
