The game between closely ranked teams ended with 22th ranked Latina's (3-4) home loss to twenty first ranked Casale (5-3) 66-87 on Saturday. Casale outrebounded Latina 48-27 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Luca Valentini (189-97) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 4 assists and naturalized Argentinian point guard Lucio Redivo (184-94) who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Casale players scored in double figures. Casale's coach Mattia Ferrari felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side American forward Jaren Lewis (198-96, college: ACU) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Davide Raucci (198-90, agency: Players Group) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Casale keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Latina keeps the twenty second place with four games lost. Casale will face San Severo (#23) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Latina will play against Orzinuovi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
