Rather expected game in La Carolina where 9th ranked Carolinas (4-18) was crushed by seventh ranked Torrent (7-15) 74-53 on Saturday. Torrent shot 30 for 47 from the free-throw line, while Carolinas only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded Carolinas 48-33 including a 39-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Carolinas was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Alejandro Terrades (196-1) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward David Calero (193-99) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Nacho Gaya (185-90) responded with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Pablo Paterna (195-89) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Torrent maintains seventh position in Group E-Descen with 7-15 record. Carolinas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth place with 18 games lost.
