There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Scafati (2-6) smashed at home 4th ranked Tortona (4-4) 89-69 on Sunday. Scafati had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Valerio Cucci (202-95) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Riccardo Rossato (190-96, agency: Players Group) who added 17 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jalen Cannon (198-93, college: SFC) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Lorenzo Ambrosin (195-97, agency: SLN) scored 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Scafati maintains sixth position with 2-6 record, which they share with Chieti. Loser Tortona dropped to the third place with four games lost. Scafati will face league's second-placed Torino on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tortona will play against Forli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
