Regular Season Round 26: Cholet - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 75-78

The most exciting game of round 26 in the Jeep ELITE ProA took place in Cholet. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Cholet Basket (9-14) to fifteenth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (9-16) 78-75 on Sunday evening. Pau-Lacq-Orthez shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Power forward Petr Cornelie (211-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots). American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Ian Miller (190-91, college: FSU) replied with 20 points and American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: UConn) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Cholet Basket. Four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to fourteenth place. Cholet Basket at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cholet Basket will play on the road against Chalons-Reims (#17) and is hoping to win this game.
